The Lancashire pub also benefits from its own caravan site as well as 16 ensuite letting rooms
The Birley Arms has reopened following a £250,000 investment by independent pub company Punch Pubs and Co, with publicans Tony Davies and Zoe Shelmerdine at the helm.
The investment has breathed new life into the Lancashire pub, enhancing its original charm and character.
Mr Davies said: Welcoming locals back to the pub to see the transformation has been fantastic. After a difficult year, it’s been great to see the community come back together and enjoy their new look pub. We’re really excited for the future, and we can’t wait for many great years to come at the Birley Arms.
The investment has also transformed the pub’s outdoor area, which now features a children’s play area and stretch tent with planting, festoon lighting, and plenty of seating, creating a new space that can welcome up to 100 guests.
There is also a lot of heating facility, allowing the space to be enjoyed all year round as well as its own screen showing all key sporting events.
Punch’s Operations Director Neil Dawson said: We’re really pleased with what our investment has created here at the Birley Arms, and it’s been fantastic to see the locals enjoying it once again. This is an established, well-loved pub and we’re confident that together with Tony and Zoe the Birley Arms will continue to operate at the very heart of the community it serves.
The Birley Arms has reopened with a brand-new menu, full of locally sourced pub classics and specials. This is accompanied by a quality range of drinks which include cask ales and a carefully curated wine list.
The Birley Arms also benefits from its own ten berth caravan site as well as 16 ensuite letting rooms inside the pub.
