The firm has made the funds available on Standard Life Wrap and Aviva, enabling UK investor’s access to funds previously inaccessible to them.
As the climate investment space continues to grow, Nordea has opened the €2.2bn Nordea 1 – Global Climate and Environment fund to the UK, along with the €2.6bn Nordea 1 – Emerging Stars Equity fund and the €784m Nordea 1 – Global Stars Equity fund, both core products in its responsible investment range.
In addition to these funds, investors will have access to three strategies run by the multi-asset team, headed by Asbjorn Trolle Hansen. The £2.7bn Nordea 1 – GBP Diversified Return fund, which is specifically designed with UK clients in mind, Nordea 1 – Alpha 10 MA and Nordea 1 – Alpha 15 MA will also be available on the platforms.
Anders Madsen, head of UK institutional & wholesale distribution at Nordea, said that sustainability and responsible investment have been embedded in the business model and culture of Nordea Asset Management for many years and they are pleased to be able to boost UK investor access to some of our specialist strategies in this area.
He said that they believe the best way to meet the challenge of consistent long-term performance and true diversification is to control risk at all times, rather than simply targeting the highest returns.
