It will create a combined office of 70 people, with the Lincoln offices trading under the name Brown & Co JH Walter
Two rural property specialists are merging to create what’s been called a “new Lincoln property stronghold”.
Brown & Co is acquiring JH Walter in a deal set to be finalised on October 31. Brown & Co opened its Lincoln office in January.
It will create a combined office of 70 people, with the Lincoln offices trading under the name Brown & Co JH Walter.
JH Walter’s Lincoln city centre office will continue to host the residential and county property auction teams and the rural, commercial, planning and energy teams will integrate with Brown & Co’s existing partners and staff at its Doddington Road offices.
Ian Walter, the senior partner at JH Walter, said: We share the same values and culture of Brown & Co and this represents an ideal fit for our staff and our clients to provide a long term future and opportunity for growth for the firm, our partners and staff.
John Elliott, managing partner at JH Walter, said: The county property auction, our planning services and our residential agency capacity will be an addition to the Brown & Co current offering in Lincoln and we are delighted to be joining them to operate and grow in a larger firm and bring our combined expertise under one business.
Brown & Co managing partner Charles Whitaker said: JH Walter has a strong rural client base and we are delighted to add their additional services, capacity and people to our business.
This investment helps us to create value, efficiency and growth for both our clients and the practice of Brown & Co. It serves as a key driver for our partnership and the JH Walter team fit well with this for us, he said.
Brown & Co provides agricultural business consultancy, agency, professional and management services across rural, commercial & residential property, agriculture & the environment.
It currently operates from 12 offices throughout the East Anglia, the Midlands and the Yorkshire and Humber regions.
